Year Ender 2025: When Hero MotoCorp Cooked a Droolworthy Line-up at EICMA

Hero MotoCorp showcased several motorcycles, including a line-up of electric two-wheelers

EICMA, or the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori, which translates to the International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition, is the biggest two-wheeler auto show in the world. Therefore, every year, two-wheeler manufacturers from around the world visit the fair to showcase their upcoming motorcycles and scooters.

This year, several Indian companies made an appearance at the fair, but it was Hero MotoCorp that had plenty to show the world. As the year comes to an end, here’s a recap of Hero’s line-up.

The Hero Xpulse is one of the most capable and economical off-road motorcycles available in India in the 200cc segment. Hero MotoCorp made the existing model even better by introducing a Dakar Edition, which features fully adjustable rally-spec suspension with 280mm travel, 270 mm ground clearance, and knobby Maxxis tyres on a 21/18-inch wheel setup. The motorcycle was also seen in a special Dakar livery with racer Ross Branch’s autograph.

Hero has been trying hard to penetrate the 350-500cc market, but it has not found immense success with the Maverick 440, a motorcycle based on the Harley-Davidson 440X. Therefore, hoping to gain some traction, Hero showcased the Hunk 400 SX, essentially a Maverick 440 in a scrambler robe. As of now, no technical details are available, but if the motorcycle is to play the role of a scrambler, we hope it will feature long-travel suspension, to say the least.

Vida Electric Concepts

Hero not only showcased its own products but also those of Vida Electric, its electric branch. Two models were shown under the Vida banner, i.e., Concept Ubex and Project VxZ. The Ubex is a neo-naked model built on a modular platform, ensuring the motorcycle can conquer terrain while also handling everyday city commutes. On the other hand, Project VxZ is a performance motorcycle being developed with Zero Motorcycles in the USA.

DIRT.E K3 and MX7

Vida is not only targeting adults but also kids with products like the K3 and MX7 to get into off-roading at a young age. The K3 is an electric dirt bike that allows kids ages 4 to 10 to ride without upgrading to a new bike due to rapid growth. On the other hand, the DIRT.E MX7 is a full-sized motocross bike that adults can choose to ride on off-road trails or compete in motocross competitions.

That’s all from the stable of Hero MotoCorp at EICMA 2025, and while road-focused models were amazing, it is truly the off-road line-up of Hero that blew our minds. After all, only when such products are easily accessible in India at affordable prices will India learn to take up motorsports from a young age and pursue them as a career. Such a thought process from private vehicle manufacturers will ultimately help India become a force in motorsports.
