An inverted version of the Kamet White, the Mana Black is a more off-road-focused version of the Himalayan
Two years ago, Royal Enfield hit the ball out of the park in the adventure-tourer category of motorcycles by launching the Himalayan 450 with the Sherpa engine. Finally, India got a motorcycle that, even today, has the best suspension setup, capable of hauling two people and luggage through the worst terrain. The Sherpa engine also surprised everybody with its ability to hit a top speed equivalent to the KTM ADV 390.
Yes, there have been multiple cases of chassis breakage, rusting, loose bolts, and so on. However, the Himalayan brought a big smile to the faces of hardcore adventure motorcyclists in India in 2023. And this year, Enfield took a step further to ensure people stay glued to the motorcycle by launching a version with multiple off-road-focused parts that were previously available only as accessories.
Not a new motorcycle

Let’s get one thing clear: the Himalayan Mana Black is not a new motorcycle. It offers the same hardware, including the same engine with the same tuning and suspension setup, with the same amount of travel. Even the electronic aids are identical to those on the standard variant and offer nothing new.
So, what’s new?
With the Mana Black, Royal Enfield is offering a new colour scheme that is essentially an inverted version of the Kamet White model. The Mana Black also gets a tall single-piece rally-style seat and a different tail section without the rear luggage rack.

It also comes with a cross-spoke rim as standard, which can accommodate a tubeless tyre setup, increasing the motorcycle’s capability for hardcore off-roading while ensuring the rider can have peace of mind without worrying about punctures. The Mana Black also accommodates rally-style knuckle guards and a high beak at the front as standard.
Launch date
After making its first appearance at the EICMA on November 4, 2025, Royal Enfield officially launched the motorcycle at Motoverse 2025 on November 21. Bookings for the motorcycle are open, and it has been priced at INR 3.37 lakh ex-showroom, making it the most expensive model in the Royal Enfield Himalayan line-up.

The need
In a statement, the company explained the need for the launch of Mana Black, stating, “A defining highlight of the Mana Black Edition is its factory-accessorised configuration. Riders can own a Himalayan that arrives fully fitted with exclusively curated adventure accessories. Equipped with Black Rally hand guards, a Black Rally seat for enhanced grip and long-distance comfort, a Rally mud guard designed for rugged trails, and tubeless spoked wheels that offer durability with modern convenience, the Mana Black Edition ensures every element is ready for exploration.”
For Royal Enfield, the year ends by making great strides in the off-roading section, and up next, the motorcycle giant is gearing up to venture into the world of EVs.
