Several powerful villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe depend on a supply of workforce to achieve their goals. At times it requires a few, other times, it requires an army.

Ronan the Accuser, Loki, and Thanos are some of the most intimidating villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but only a few can take on the greatest Marvel superheroes alone. The others require a little assistance from a couple of friends or maybe a hundred. The troops of minions that fight against Marvel superheroes are way more powerful than the average henchmen that we often see in other superhero media. They are lethal, armed, and arrive in a swarm. Here are some of the evilest armies of the MCU.

Flag Smashers

The Flag Smashers is an organization of super-powered anti-nationalist or anarchist terrorists. These masked vigilantes have drawn inspiration from the Anti-Captain America supervillain - commanded over by Karli Morgenthau - to reinstate their organization. Although Flag Smashers lacked the weaponry and training, unlike other powerful agencies like HYDRA, they possess a super-soldier serum that endows them with incredible might.

Frost Giants

To fight against an army of mythical beings is no easy feat. Although the Frost Giants only posed a threat to Odin's kingdom and kin, they are capable of causing some grave damage to the mortal world too. These giants from Jotunheim possess brutal strength. While these big baddies can be defeated by Thor and company from Asgard, the other Avengers might face a little difficulty defeating those colossal blue creatures.

Hela’s Zombies

Hela, the goddess of death and her nefarious army of undead deserves a special mention. They are not Superhumans but are still hard to defeat. These zombies clad in Viking armor are brilliant fighters, and remember, these undead creatures can be resurrected by Hela with well-placed necromancy.

The Chitauri

The Chitauri are Marvel's most notorious incessant offenders when talking about evil armies. The cybernetic creepy-looking alien creatures of the Mad Titan have caused devastating trouble to the earth dwellers across the Marvel universe. They make tough opponents because it requires the use of nuclear weapons to cause a dent in their astronomical number.

HYDRA

HYDRA is the result of mystical artifacts and superhumans blending to create an atrocious army. This evil organization is led by Red Skull - the neo-fascist zealots are the mad scientists of Hitler's Third Reich - but they formed their own entity after discovering the Tesseract. HYDRA’s supercharged weaponry, black uniforms, and gas masks add to their diabolic nature.

Since the dawn of time, these evil armies have been causing havoc, but our Marvel superheroes are here to save the day.
