The sports SUV made its global debut in April of this year
The much-awaited Lamborghini Urus SE is set to make its India debut on August 9 in New Delhi. Is the Audi RS Q8 a looker? Compared to the above two vehicles, it is not! However, it is one of the finest pieces of German automobile engineering. The car is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 TFSI engine that churns out a peak power of 600hp and 800Nm of maximum torque, mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox. The five-door SUV comes with eight airbags and has a warranty distance of 50,000 kilometres. The car is available at INR 2.56 crore. The Q8 is also available in two other iterations: 3.0 Petrol 55 TFSI Celebration Edition at INR 1.23 crore and 3.0 Petrol 55 TFSI at INR 1.6 crore.

In terms of styling, if there’s any car that looks equally drool-worthy like the Urus SE, it is the Lotus Eletre. Unlike the Urus, which is a hybrid, the Lotus is an electric car that does not fight against the Urus directly. However, it is put in the same arena because of its design language and price tag. Under the hood, the Electre is powered by an 800V system with a fast charger of 350kW, which enables the car to charge itself at 10 to 80 percent in 20 minutes. Under WLTP tests, the car claims a mileage of 490 kilometres and does 0-100kph in 2.95 seconds, whereas 80-120kph in 1.9 seconds. The vehicle has a hefty price tag of INR 2.92 crore.
Last but not least, two other alternatives that potential buyers could look at are the Porsche Cayenne GTS and Aston DBX 707.
