T20 WC 2026: Indian Players That AI Believe Will Rock the Tourney With Runs & Wickets

According to AI, five Indian players will rock the tournament with their bowling and batting prowess

The Indian national team are roaring to kick off their T20 World Cup campaign, which is less than a week away. All the players in the squad are excelling in practice, hoping to replicate that impact on game day. However, it is extremely challenging to predict which players will become India’s best performers by the time the tournament concludes.

We therefore turned to artificial intelligence (AI) and asked it to forecast India's best players for the next tournament. Here’s what AI has to say:

Suryakumar Yadav

The AI placed Suryakumar Yadav on top, who has found his form in the ongoing series versus New Zealand. Known for his unorthodox batting that makes him the “Indian 360”, Yadav is expected to score between 350-400 runs across the tournament. This outlook is also due to the fact that he comes in at no. 3, which allows him to play a greater number of deliveries. As per AI’s prediction, Yadav is expected to score at least three centuries.

Hardik Pandya

As always, a tremendous deal of burden lies on Hardik Pandya’s shoulders, who is India’s star all-rounder with the bat and the ball. As a middle-order batsman, Pandya is expected to either stabilise collapses or launch late assaults, which means his total runs may range from 240 to 280, with a strike rate exceeding 150. With the ball, AI expects Pandya to grab at least 10 wickets.

Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh will play the role of India’s finisher down the order at no. 6 or 7. AI believes his fearless, composed, and brutally effective batting will help him score anywhere between 200 and 250 runs, but his strike rate will touch a whopping 190-200. In tight World Cup matches where margins are thin, Singh’s ability to clear boundaries without panic could quietly make him one of India’s most valuable players.

Jasprit Bumrah

Moving on to the bowling department, it is no surprise that AI puts Jasprit Bumrah above all the Indian bowlers. AI expects Bumrah to grab over 20 wickets with an economy less than 6.8 and several 2- or 3-wicket hauls. If India reaches the semi-final or final, AI expects Bumrah to be the Player of the Match in one of the games.

Kuldeep Yadav

Finally, the fifth player that AI believes will make a difference in India’s campaign is Kuldeep Yadav. Yadav's resurgence has made him one of the reliable bowlers in the Indian line-up, and he will end up with between 15 and 20 wickets. India’s star Chinaman will be expected to break crucial partnerships between the seventh and fifteenth overs.

On match day, anything can happen—one struggling player could rise above all, or a star player could end up doing nothing—but we certainly hope AI’s prediction comes true, which will help India defend its title.
