ISRO has successfully launched numerous satellites over the years.

On this very date back in 1975, India's first unmanned satellite, the Aryabhata, was launched from Kapustin Yar, Russia, using a Kosmos-3M launch vehicle. The event marked a revolutionary step in the country's history, paving way for the launch of many other satellites along the way.

The main objective of ‘Aryabhata’ was to perform various experiments in X-Ray astronomy and solar physics. Upon launching it, India became the 11th nation to send a satellite into orbit.

Since then, ISRO has successfully launched numerous unmanned satellites, taking solar exploration to a whole new level.

To mark the 48th anniversary of Aryabhata, let's have a look at the major unmanned satellites (apart from Aryabhata) launched by ISRO so far.

A list of ISRO's major unmanned satellites since 'Aryabhata'

On This Day (Feb 13): World Radio Day - The UN Radio Origin Story That Made This Date Iconic

Video didn’t kill it, and the internet couldn’t bury it. Here is why the "ghost in the machine" is still the world’s loudest whisper. There is a specific kind of magic in the static. You know the sound. It’s that scratchy, white-noise search between stations before a voice suddenly cuts ...
