Nepal PM Prachanda Reaches Delhi Amid Warm Reception from Meenakshi Lekhi

Prachanda has reached Delhi for his four-day visit to the neighbouring nation.
Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as "Prachanda," arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday to begin a four-day visit to India. Meenakashi Lekhi, a minister for the Union, welcomed him warmly when he arrived.
Expected timeline of Prachanda's visit
On the suggestion of his Indian counterpart, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dahal, who entered government in December of last year, will go to India from May 31 to June 3.At 10.30 am on the following day (Thursday), Dahal will lay a wreath at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial to start his itinerary. During his stay, the prime minister of Nepal will have interactions with vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar and president Droupadi Murmu. He will head to Ujjain and Indore in addition to his formal commitments during his trip.

The arrival of Prachanda in India was announced on Twitter by both Nepalese and Indian diplomats in jubilant mode."PM @cmprachanda of Nepal arrives in New Delhi on his first overseas visit after assumption of office. I was warmly welcomed by MoS @M_Lekhi at the airport. The visit will impart renewed momentum to the close and unique India-Nepal relationship," the official spokesperson of MEA, Arindam Bagchi, tweeted.
The Ambassador of Nepal to India, Shankar P Sharma, wrote on Twitter on Monday and said, "Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Pushpa Kamal Dahal has arrived in New Delhi on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. PM Dahal was warmly received at the airport by MoS Smt. @M_Lekhi."
Significance of the visit
In recent years, there has been tremendous improvement in all spheres of collaboration in the bilateral ties between India and Nepal.The announcement stated that the visit shows how crucial it is for both parties to advance their bilateral relationship, even though they are not ideologically the same when it comes to politics. Prachanda adheres to the far-left ideology, while Modi is on the far-right.
