India vs. South Africa 3rd ODI: Delhi to Extend Metro Timings for Spectators
To ease the commuting of cricket spectators, the metro corporation announced extending the trip timings of the last metros.
The Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) announced it will extend the trip timings of all the metros on Tuesday so that cricket spectators can return home easily from the Ferozshah Kotla Ground. However, the corporation also informed that the timings of metros on all the lines will be extended except the Airport Express line. On Tuesday, the stadium will host the third ODI match between India and South Africa.

DMRC’s statementThe corporation in a statement said, “To facilitate spectators during the one-day international (ODI) cricket match between India and South Africa on October 11, the Delhi Metro has made minor changes in its last train timings on all lines (except Airport Express Line).”
“In anticipation of the sudden rush expected at these nearby metro stations after the match is over, the Delhi Metro will be performing extra train trips (around 48) by extending its last train timings by about 30-45 minutes on all lines,” it added.

Revised timingsThe Ferozshah Kotla Ground is located on Violet Line near the Delhi Gate and ITO Metro Station. The line connects Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh and on usual days, the last metro from Kashmere Gate departs at 11 p.m. whereas, from Raja Nahar Singh, it departs at 10:36 p.m. On Tuesday night, the last trains will depart from both stations at 10:55 p.m.
On the Yellow Line, the last train from Samaypur Badli will depart at 11:50 p.m. whereas the last train from Huda City Centre will depart at 11:20 p.m. The Blue Line which connects Noida Electronic City to Dwarka Sector 21 will executive the departure of the last trains at 11:25 p.m. and 11:10 p.m., respectively.
The last train from Janakpuri West station towards Botanical Garden on the Magenta Line will depart at 12:40 a.m. whereas the last metro from Dwarka to Dhansa Bus stand will leave at 01:00 a.m.
