Paris Olympics 2024: A Look at the Indian Athletes Who Will Debut

These youngsters are set to make India proud in this latest Olympic edition!

The world’s biggest sporting event, the Summer Olympics, is set to take place in France from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Officially known as the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Games will primarily be held in Paris, with 16 other French cities also hosting events. Some competitions will begin a couple of days early, on July 24. Athletes from around the globe will compete in 329 events across 32 sports, all striving for the prestigious title of Olympic champion or medalist.

The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for July 26 at the Stade de France, marking the official start of the Games.India is sending a strong contingent to Paris, with 110 athletes qualifying in 16 different sports. Excitingly, more than half of these athletes—68 to be exact—will be making their Olympic debut. This blend of experienced Olympians and fresh talent highlights India’s growing power in various sports. Indian athletes are set to begin their Olympic journey on July 27, just a day after the opening ceremony. With many first-time Olympians, there’s great anticipation about how these newcomers will perform on the world’s biggest sporting stage. Each sport will feature its own set of debutants, bringing fresh energy and ambition to Team India.
