Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha reportedly met several years before they tied the knot.
Actor Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha are one of the most loved celebrity couples in Bollywood. The two got married on September 24 last year after having their engagement ceremony at Kapurthala House in New Delhi. But did you know that Parineeti knew she wanted to marry him within five minutes of meeting Raghav? Well, yes! Now as the actress celebrates her birthday on October 22, here’s a look at how the two met and fell in love, eventually culminating their relationship into a marriage.
Well, it is believed that the two knew each other for several years before their engagement and marriage. In fact, as Parineeti once revealed, she and Raghav fell in love over breakfast in London after meeting for an awards ceremony. In April this year, the actress said on Raj Shamani’s podcast, “We started talking to each other, and we realized not even in weeks, within days, we just used to talk about getting married.” She added, “My mother always used to tell me when your life partner will come in front of you, you will know, and I said, ‘Please don’t tell me these filmy lines aisa kuch nahin hota.’ I swear, I met Raghav and in five minutes I knew I’m going to marry this man.”
It is interesting to note Parineeti once also shared how she did not know anything about Raghav, be it his exact job or if he was single or not. “It was just some god’s voice inside me and then we started talking. We were not even friends at that time. We started talking and over the next few days, we realised that this was it. We never even had an official dating period because why were we dating so to say we were actually just planning to get married,” she had said.
As per ANI, since the two studied in London, they have been friends for long. While Parineeti holds a triple Honours degree in business, finance and economics from Manchester Business School, Raghav is an alumni of the London School of Economics (LSE). He had even set up a boutique wealth management firm in London before he returned to India and eventually joined politics.
When they reportedly first met at a conference in London, Parineeti had to google him after they had breakfast together the next day. Eventually, they started talking over the next few days, and got to know each other. Finally, when they fell in love, both of them didn’t initiate a conversation about tying the knot, but they certainly knew that they would do so in the earliest stages of their relationship. And as they say, the rest is history.
The couple recently celebrated their first Karwa Chauth together in New Delhi on October 20.
