Launched in 2021, 'Her Circle' is a popular digital platform dedicated to women's empowerment.
"Empowering women has been a constant thread in my life." - Nita Ambani
It's quite unfortunate that most articles about Nita Ambani begin with "Nita Ambani, the wife of Mukesh Ambani... ". Of course, she is the wife of Asia's richest person - but that's certainly not her only identity. She herself is a businesswoman, with an unprecedented influence on society. And not just business; she has successfully made a mark in sports, art and culture, philanthropy, and several other fields as well.

Born on November 1, 1964, Nita Ambani is the epitome of women's empowerment in India. She believes that a nation's progress is closely linked to the empowerment of its women, and hence women must have equal access to everything from education to healthcare and more. In an interview with CNBC, she said, "It’s time we treat our girls and boys equally, whether in boardrooms or on playgrounds," adding that the welfare of women is "a cause dear to her heart".

Nita Ambani launched 'Her Circle' on the occasion of International Women's Day in 2021. It's a digital platform that has an "all-encompassing content, social media, and goal fulfillment community envisioned to be a worldwide digital collective of women". It's primarily dedicated to Indian women, however, is open to all women overseas.
The idea behind the platform is to cater to the ambitions and aspirations of women from every socio-economic background.

Notably, in just three years, Her Circle has gained more than 945k followers on Instagram.
During the launch event of 'Her Circle', Nita Ji shared her vision about the platform, saying that it aims to fuel women's empowerment with modern, digital tools. She said, "I am delighted that we can create such a circle of support and solidarity for millions of women through HerCircle.in, a digital platform that invites every woman to join and make her own. With the Digital Revolution enabling 24x7 global networking and collaboration, Her Circle welcomes ideas and initiatives of women from all cultures, communities, and countries. We make sisterhood and equality our touchpoints on this platform."
"Her Circle will provide the ladies with a joyful and safe space for interaction, engagement, collaboration, and mutual support. India will have the highest population of women in the next decade so it needs such platforms and apps for women to know they have equal playing fields."

"When women lean on women, incredible things happen. Whether it is the women from Reliance Foundation or the national and international women leaders that I have worked with, our shared experiences show me that in the end our struggles and triumphs resonate with each other," she added.
Happy Birthday, Nita Ji!
