IPL 2026: Ishan Kishan’s 125th Game & Other Approaching Milestones in the SRH vs. CSK Clash

Saturday evening will witness the clash between fourth-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who are in eighth place on the Indian Premier League (IPL) table. For both teams, scoring crucial points is of utmost importance, given that they are far off from the playoff positions and mid-table teams are slowly joining the fight. However, the game will also see several players putting a little extra effort, given they are close to achieving personal milestones.

Ishan Kishan’s 125th

SRH’s ferocious batter Ishan Kishan will be playing his 125th IPL match on Saturday evening. So far, Kishan has 3,211 runs at an average of 29.73 with an average strike rate of 140.22. Kishan also has one century and 19 half-centuries in his name. In the ongoing season, Kishan has scored 213 runs in five matches.

Abhishek Sharma’s 2000

Another fiery SRH batter, Abhishek Sharma, is only 55 runs away from scoring 2,000 IPL runs. If he achieves the milestone, he will do so in 82 IPL games. Even CSK’s Shivam Dube will be gunning for the same milestone, given he is only 39 runs away from 2,000 IPL runs.

Ruturaj’s 100 sixes

Only 25 players have scored more than 100 sixes in the history of the IPL. Therefore, Ruturaj Gaikwad deserves a mention, given he has 96 sixes in the IPL and is only four sixes away from reaching the milestone.

A steep target for Sanju

Sanju Samson is a capable batter, and therefore, we have included him in this list, even though the milestone he is heading for is a steep target to achieve in a single game. Samson is currently on 4,889 IPL runs and needs 111 runs to reach 5,000 runs in the tournament. If he scores the required runs, he will be the 10th player in IPL’s history to join the 5,000-run elite club.

Dhoni’s 202 dismissals

Last but not least, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is also gunning for a milestone, but that is if he plays the game. Given that Dhoni already holds the record for most dismissals by a wicket keeper with 201 dismissals, every dismissal he makes in the future will become a new benchmark. Unfortunately, Dhoni’s availability is still a question mark for the team and its fans.
