Dance and action are Roshan's biggest strengths as a Bollywood actor. But contrary to popular belief, both are hard-earned skills, not just God-gifted.
Some act well, some dance well, and some do action well on the screen. But when you combine all three in one actor, you get Hrithik Roshan. That's why he is - I'm sure you'll agree with me - the most complete actor in mainstream Indian cinema. Precisely, as already mentioned, dance and action are his biggest strengths as an actor. From his debut film 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai' (2000) to his latest release 'Fighter' (2024), he has showcased these skills again and again on the screen, winning over the hearts of one and all. And it's not just for the sake of it; he makes these a part of his characters, adding enormous value to the films. Without an iota of doubt, this is his signature style; you simply cannot separate them from him as a performer.
Now, what's worth noting is none of these came easily to him. In fact, he was once told by doctors that he would never be able to dance or do action films. Yup, you read it right!
Bang - Bang will always be the greatest dance moves.!🔥

Today, on the Greek God's 51st birthday, let's learn about that in this article.
It sounds surprising, I know, but it's true. The superstar suffers from Scoliosis -an abnormal curvature of the spine. Just before 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai', the condition got so bad that his doctors forbade him to ever try dancing or performing action sequences.
However, you know, HR is a man of unparalleled dedication. So, he took it as a challenge and pushed his own boundaries - and eventually, he proved his doctors wrong.
Bang Bang
Speaking about the same, he shared in an interview with ANI, "Before the release of 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai', my doctors had told me that my health condition is not so good that I can do action films and dance films. I took this diagnosis as a challenge and focused on my health and fitness. I learned how to do my work to the best of my abilities and I'm just happy to be here standing in front of you all today. It is nothing short of a miracle for me that in my 25th film, I'm still doing action and I'm still dancing and I'm still being able to say my dialogues. I think the 21-year-old me, would be very proud of this me, today."

Well, Roshan's chiseled physique has always been a topic of fascination for fans. But again, it's the result of a lot of passion, discipline, and hard work.
While growing up, he was very lean and thin. Doctors told him that he would never be able to build a muscular physique because of an inherent problem in his spinal cord. However, he challenged everything and achieved his goal.
As his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan revealed in an interview, "... he challenged everything, he started exercising with books and slowly, slowly with books he came to dumbbells and dumbbells se usne fir ye sab apni physique banayi (then he made his physique)."
Besides the spinal cord issue, Roshan also had a stammering problem during his childhood. He took speech therapy and worked hard to overcome it.
Before making his acting debut, HR had worked on the sets of his father Rakesh Roshan in various departments, including sweeping floors, serving tea to cast members, and assisting his father in direction.

While choreographing Roshan for the number "EK Pal Ka Jeena" ('Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai'), Farah Khan told Rakesh Roshan that his son would become a massive star after the film's release. She also predicted that HR would gain worldwide fame for his dance skills.
Happy Birthday, Mr. Roshan. Thanks For Inspiring Us!
