" How Kamala Harris' Signature Power Pantsuit is Defining Her Campaign Style!"

Vice President Kamala Harris is back on the campaign trail after a hiatus of four long years. Harris has been chosen as the most likely Democratic nominee after Joe Biden withdrew from the Presidential race on July 21, and numerous high-profile recommendations- including one by Biden himself!

Without a doubt, Kamala Harris has put up an excellent stance against recent challenges, merging her campaign activities with her other duties. No wonder, her style has remained unchanged throughout the campaign! But, why would we need a shake-up in the first place? Amidst the tumultuous years of changes that the country has gone through, it's assuaging for the people to see someone stick to their established preferences.

The Vice President is always seen embracing her classic wardrobe: a customized pantsuit in either neutral or jewel tones, a fitted silhouette underlined by shoulder pads, and straight-leg or tapered trousers complemented by pointed-toe pumps. While we have often seen how Harris loves to flaunt an American flag pin on her lapel, she is also famously known for her love for pearls and how she accessorizes her attire with them. It is a symbol of tribute to her Alpha Kappa Alpha club of women and the Twenty Pearls signifying the founders.

How Kamala Harris Appealed to the Gen-Z at Her Atlanta Rally

At Kamala Harris’ Tuesday night campaign in Atlanta, the message was clear: ‘Hotties for Harris’. This marked her first significant campaign event since her candidacy was declared. She was joined by Senator Jon Ossoff and reverend Raphael Warnock, Former Georgia state representative Stacey Abrams, and rappers Megan thee Stallion and Quavo.

Before her campaign began, the public was amazed by an energetic performance by Meghan Thee Stallion- whose fan girls nickname themselves ‘hotties’ following the Rapper’s ‘Hot Girl Summer’ track which topped the 2019 charts.

The energy of unison and girl power could be felt as Meghan Thee Stallion chose to wear something similar to what Harris does! The message was once again clear- Harris’ appeal to the Gen-Zs. Her striking outfit featured body-fitting cobalt flared trousers, a matching cropped blazer with a white collared shirt underneath, and a tie designed by Abdul Sall. A few moments later, amidst enthusiastic applause, Harris stepped up to the podium, also wearing a blue pantsuit. Her ensemble consisted of a powder blue suit over a white top, complemented by nude pointed-toe pumps, and her trademark two-strand Irene Neuwirth pearl necklace. The sartorial message was direct here.

Harris continues to carry on with a consistent and understated style. The New York Times’ chief fashion critic Venessa Friedman went as far as to call her a “dull” dresser. We often see the Vice President clad in a rotating selection of neutral-shaded pantsuits, twinning them with her classic 70-millimeter Manolo Blahnik heels. While Harris is expected to adhere to her signature style, we can anticipate more bold dressers like Meghan Thee Stallion around the VP, as her bid to reach out and appeal to the Gen-Zs continues.
