Kareena Kapoor, one of Bollywood's leading actresses, turns a year older on September 21.
Kareena Kapoor Khan is certainly one of the most noted film actresses in the Indian cinema industry, and she is known for her roles across film genres, be it romantic, comedy or crime thrillers. She was born on September 21, 1980 to actors Babita and Randhir Kapoor, and is the younger sister of actress Karisma Kapoor.
Kareena ventured into films and made her acting debut in 2000 in Refugee, and went on to do several top grossing films, including Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. However, her turnaround role with the 2004 drama Chameli got her critical recognition. Moving ahead, her role in the romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007) was much loved. She has since then starred in several hits, including comedy-dramas 3 Idiots (2009) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Golmaal 3 (2010) and Good Newwz (2019), apart from female-led films, Veere Di Wedding (2018) and Crew (2024).

In 2007, the actress played the free-spirited Geet, someone who believes in living in the moment. Her cheerful character never hesitated to speak and do as her heart said. Not just her character, her chemistry with Aditya Kashyap, played by Shahid Kapoor, was much loved as well.
