IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack revolves around one of India's most dreaded chapters in history. The six-episode limited series, starring Vijay Varma, highlights the seven-day ordeal of the hijacked Indian Airlines flight in 1999, and is adapted from the book “Flight Into Fear” by the plane’s Captain Devi Sharan and Srinjoy Chowdhury. Also starring Vijay Varma, Pankaj Kapur, Dia Mirza, Arvind Swamy, Naseeruddin Shah, and Patralekhaa, among others, the series will premiere on Netflix on August 29.
