IIT Madras Launches 3 Beginner-Friendly AI Courses on SWAYAM Plus
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras led digital learning platform SWAYAM Plus in collaboration with IITM Pravartak has launched 3 new AI courses. The registration process has commenced and the link is available at swayam-plus.swayam2.ac.in.
The registration process will end on May 10, 2026. The newly launched courses: AI for Aspiring Engineers, AI for Administrators, and Prompt Engineering, are designed as beginner-friendly programmes requiring no prior coding or AI experience.
As per a press statement issued by IIT Madras, the courses were launched by Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, during a campus event marking two years of SWAYAM Plus operations. It brought together stakeholders from government, industry, academia and the learner community. The occasion also recognised leading industry partners, higher education institutions and top-performing learners for their contributions and achievements on the platform.
Salesforce is hiring 1,000 people to ride AI growth

Companies are firing thousands of workers as they invest more in AI. Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Google, the list is quite long. But SaaS giant Salesforce seems to be doing things differently. Instead of planning to fire staff, it wants to hire people for AI, yes, hire people. On X, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff claimed that the company is hiring 1,000 workers, particularly for AI. He wrote, “We’re hiring 1,000 new grads & interns right now to ride the AI exponential.” Marc specifically mentioned that Salesforce wants interns and new graduates for AI. His post was in response to a tweet by AI Czar David Sacks. Sacks had questioned concerns over AI taking entry-level jobs. He wrote, “Hiring of new college graduates is up 5.6 per cent over last year Weren’t we told that 50 per cent of entry-level jobs were going away?”

IIM Amritsar Admission 2026: Executive MBA program registration opens

The Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar has started the registration process for Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme. The two year MBA program is designed for working professionals seeking to accelerate their leadership trajectory in an increasingly complex global business environment. The sixth cohort was formally announced at an event by Prof. Samir K. Srivastava, Director, IIM Amritsar, in the presence of Prof. Vartika Dutta, Chairperson – Executive MBA, alongside senior faculty and institutional leaders. The program is designed for mid career managers to senior leaders and entrepreneurs, with experience spanning three to over fifteen years across industries such as information technology, consulting, banking and financial services, energy, manufacturing and the public sector.
NEET UG 2026 Admit Cards Out; Exam Scheduled For May 3

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday released the admit cards for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026. Candidates can now download their hall tickets by visiting the official website. According to the public notice issued, the NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted on May 3, 2026 (Sunday), from 2 PM to 5 PM across various centres in India. Candidates are required to log in using their credentials on the official portal to access and download their admit cards. The admit card contains essential details such as the allotted exam center, reporting time and important instructions for the examination day. The NTA has advised candidates to carefully read all instructions mentioned in the admit card and the information bulletin to avoid any issues on the day of the exam. In case of difficulties in downloading the admit card, candidates can contact the NTA helpline or reach out via email.
