Delhi University’s BTech registration closes today, and one small upload error can make a perfectly good JEE Main score feel painfully unused.

This is one of those admission deadlines that looks harmless until the portal starts sulking at 11 pm.

Delhi University’s registration for BTech admissions 2026–27 closes today, June 15. Students who appeared for JEE Main 2026 can apply through the official engineering admission portal. The three available programmes are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.

No separate drama, no mystery test. Admission will be based on the All India Common Rank List of JEE Main 2026.

Why Students Should Not Wait

Because portals, bless them, rarely behave better under pressure. When hundreds of students rush in at the end, even a simple upload can become a mini thriller. Photograph not loading. The signature is too large. Payment stuck. OTP delayed. Arre, full tension.

The registration-cum-allocation fee is ₹1,500 for UR, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates, and ₹1,200 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. The form is considered complete only after the fee is successfully paid, so just filling in details and relaxing is not enough.

What To Keep Ready

Students should keep their JEE Main application number and password ready before opening the form. Name and date of birth must match the JEE Main application details. That tiny mismatch can create unnecessary trouble.

Scanned photographs, signatures, educational documents and relevant category certificates should also be ready. DU’s portal mentions a file-size limit of under 5120 KB for these uploads, so compress files before starting. Not after panic begins.

What This Means For Aspirants

For many students, DU BTech is a practical Delhi-based option without moving too far from the university ecosystem. The competition will still be tight, of course, but missing the deadline would be the silliest way to lose a chance.
