How far can a teacher go for his/her/their students? Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2005 film 'Black' explores that in its powerful story. Loosely based on Helen Keller's autobiography, 'The Story of My Life', the film follows a deaf-blind girl (Rani Mukerji) and her relationship with her teacher (Amitabh Bachchan). It also showcases the struggles that teachers often undergo in their personal lives.

Through her journey, the film critiques various societal stigmas and advocates for a comprehensive review of the education system.
