As the YouTube superstar turns 31 today, let's learn an interesting fact about his struggle story that many don't know.
Growing up in Delhi, Bhuvan Bam developed a passion for singing in his childhood. Long before YouTube happened, he started his career singing at a restaurant in night shifts (8pm - 12 am). In his words, "Before starting my YouTube career, I used to play music at a restaurant. YouTube was never a part of my plan."
"I used to play in Moti Mahal, Saket. I used to sing gazhals and songs by Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, and Hemant Kumar. These are the songs I have grown up listening to," he added.
Notably, today, besides being a successful YouTuber, Bam is also an accomplished singer with several hit songs such as "Teri Meri Kahaani", "Sang Hoon Tere", "Rahguzar", "Guncha Koi", "Hum Saath Hain", and "Bann Gayi Zindagi" among others to his name.

He released his first music video in 2016, "Teri Meri Kahani", sung by him. This was followed by other music videos, most of which became chartbusters.
Well, Bhuvan Bam's foray into YouTube wasn't really planned. As the YouTube sensation shared in an interview, "One day, I was checking the video quality on my phone when I saw the news on TV about the floods in India. One reporter asked a lady about how she felt on having lost her son, in the floods. This was, naturally, a wrong question to ask. Miffed, I made a satirical video on it and uploaded it online. That is how I took baby steps into the YouTube world.”
That video went viral, inspiring him to create his own YouTube channel in June 2015. And yes, there has been no looking back ever since then.
From 15 views on my first video to 1 Billion views on my channel, this journey has been a crazy ride.
