Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant first grabbed headlines when they had their roka ceremony in December 2022 at Shrinathji Temple in Rajasthan’s Nathdwara. They later exchanged rings in Antilia on January 19, 2023 and followed it up with a pre-engagement Mehendi ceremony in Mumbai. At the time of their roka, the Ambanis had released an official statement that said, “Anant and Radhika have known each other for a few years and today’s ceremony commences the formal journey of their marriage in the coming months. Both families seek the blessings and good wishes of everyone for Radhika and Anant as they start their journey of togetherness.”

Radhika, who is a trained classical dancer, hails from Kutch in Gujarat. She completed her schooling at two different schools in Mumbai - Cathedral and John Connon School and École Mondiale World School. Further ahead, she did her bachelor’s degree in politics and economics from New York University. After wrapping up her studies, she joined Isprava Group, a luxury holiday home developer backed by Nadir Godrej, Anand Piramal and Dabur India's Burman family. Currently, she is part of Encore Healthcare's board of directors.
The Ambanis had hosted the Arangetram ceremony of Radhika, a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, at Mumbai's Jio World Centre. For those caught unaware, the Arangetram means a dancer's completion of formal training and first on-stage performance.
As per media reports, Radhika’s net worth is somewhere around Rs 8 crore to Rs 10 crore, and most of it comes from her family business, Encore Healthcare. Her father Viren Merchant is known to have a net worth of Rs 755 crore, considering he is also the director of Encore Natural Polymers, Encore Polyfrac Products, Encore Business Centre, Saidarshan Business Centres and ZYG Pharma.
Coming to the Ambanis, Radhika’s father-in-law Mukesh Ambani is Asia’s richest man. Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani and Radhika’s fiancé, is a director on Jio Platforms and Reliance New Energy Solar, apart from being the co-owner of Indian Premier League Team Mumbai Indians.
Considering she comes from one of the richest families in India, and is getting married into India’s richest family. Radhika is a proud owner of a number of super-expensive things.
Radhika and Anant are all set to tie the knot on July 12 in Mumbai. The weekend celebration finally wraps up a string of lavish pre-wedding events of the couple, which were held in the past few months, including pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar, followed by a four-day event on a luxury cruise in Europe and a series of events in Mumbai for the past two weeks. The Ambanis, so far, have got several global artists such as Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Ketty Perry and boy band Backstreet Boys to perform at the functions of Radhika and Anant.
