This initiative was a game-changer in this year to make healthcare accessible and affordable to all. The government introduced new telemedicine platforms, health insurance schemes, and also focused on AI-driven diagnostics to transform the healthcare sector. These initiatives are aimed to develop a robust healthcare system to caters diverse needs of India’s population.
Considering the rising climate change, the government has intensified the efforts under the Green India Mission with the launch of huge reforestation program across 10 states. The government also focused on renewable energy sector with the commissioning of the world’s largest solar park in Rajasthan. Initiatives like increased subsidies for electric vehicles (EVs) manufacturers and buyers along with the establishment of more EV charging stations underscore India’s commitment to achieve net-zero emission agenda by 2070.
The Skill India 2024 program targeted growing sectors like AI, robotics, and green technology. The government has launched over 200 advanced skill training centers across different states offering certification programs. By providing these future-ready skills to India’s youth, India aims to become a hub for skilled workforce in the global market.
The government has rolled out programs like the Women Entrepreneurship Promotion Fund to empower women across various sectors. Moreover, the expansion of maternity perks as well as workplace safety rules ensured a supportive ambience for women in the workforce.
Under the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign, 2024 saw a massive investments in manufacturing and innovation sectors. The government has launched several policies to attract foreign direct investment in semiconductors and defense.
