Fenty Beauty, which was launched by Rihanna- an American pop singer and entrepreneur- has been a pioneering force since its inception. The beauty brand is known for coming up with a groundbreaking selection of foundation shades and cult-favourite beauty products. Now it’s time for Fenty to shine as it enters into a partnership with the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics. This marks one of the brand’s most big-shot premium partnerships yet.
As per a press release, volunteers who will be bearing the award medals for the athletes will be using the Fenty Beauty makeup products to create a ‘designated look’ during the felicitation.
This exciting news was shared by Rihanna herself on her beauty brand’s Instagram page this morning. They said,” We're hooking up 600 young Victory Ceremonies volunteers with makeup kits and tips-n-tricks to get their Fenty Face camera ready for their time to shine as medal bearers for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024".
Around six hundred volunteers, their age varying between 18 and 21, will be receiving Fenty Beauty’s makeup tutorials and kits. They will be trained on how to do their makeup for the global event.
As it’s indeed difficult for non-professionals to tell which shade of foundation suits their skin tone the best, Fenty Beauty will employ its makeup artists to help the volunteers with their makeup.
“We just shadematched 600 Victory Ceremonies volunteers who will bear the medals for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024", the brand shared on their Instagram post.
The makeup kit will include the Eaze Drop’Lit All-Over Glow Enhancer, the Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint, Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, and the Invisimatte Instant Setting and Blotting Powder
The Paris Olympics is slated to begin on Friday, July 26th and run till August 11. On the other hand, the Paralympics is scheduled to start on Wednesday, August 28 and run through September 8, i.e. Sunday.
Given the partnership, we can expect to see Rihanna to herself make an appearance at the Games. In an Instagram post, the entrepreneur shared the news of collaboration with great vigour and excitement. Her caption read: ”tried to tell yall….we outside all 2024!!! PROUD to announce that @FentyBeauty is a premium partner of the Olympic AND Paralympic Games baby!!! #FentyxParis2024 💄🏆” This was posted alongside a picture of Rihanna hand-in-hand with a huge lip gloss tube near the Eiffel Tower.
In February 2023, Rihanna expressed in an interview how she wants her beauty legacy to be. And surprisingly, the thought of hers aligns perfectly with the brand’s collaboration with the 2024 Olympics. Rihanna said, “My mantra has always been and always will be, ‘Beauty is there to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure or a uniform. I hope that carries on because it’s an incredibly joyful and freeing way to live.”
