It's quite unfortunate that Gauri Khan is often referred to as "Shah Rukh Khan's wife" in the media. Of course, she is a supporting wife and has contributed immensely to the Badshah's success. But she is much more than just that! She is a remarkably talented (and successful) interior designer with a portfolio that comes second to none.
The celebrity interior designer has recently decorated the new office of Kolkata Knight Riders, owned by her husband, superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The office's interior has sleek white paints with a hint of purple and gold, and boasts a perfect balance of traditional aesthetics and contemporary elements. And you know what's the best aspect? It's all wrapped in a vibrant cricket theme.

With this context, it's also important to note that Gauri has designed several celebrity homes over the years, showcasing her skills and eye for detailing. In this article, let's have a look at some of them.
Karan Johar is both SRK and Gauri Khan's close friend, and hence he approached none other than the latter to design her dream home (a duplex on Carter Road, Mumbai). Gauri gave it a cozy and sophisticated look, catering to the taste and lifestyle of KJo. And she used high-end materials to make it look chic and classy at the same time. For the terrace, she incorporated wooden furniture, greenery, and warm lights.
While Mannat in Mumbai is the main residence of the Khan family, they also own several other properties across the world. One of them is the bungalow in Delhi, which looks nothing short of a royal palace. Located in Panchsheel Park in South Delhi, the bungalow is a statement of sophistication thanks to Gauri Khan's design. There are spiral staircases, majestic chandeliers, French windows, and plush couches among others.
A few months ago, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt (along with their daughter, Raha) shifted to their lavish apartment in Bandra which is reportedly worth ₹35 crores. Gauri opted for a minimalist approach to design the apartment. The spacious living room is decorated with gorgeous elements, while the balcony, kitchen, and bedrooms boast a cozy vibe. There are lighter tones all around in the paints, giving it a chic look.
Designed by Gauri Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani's sea-facing home (worth ₹70 crores) in Pali Hill is a classic example of minimalism. The neutral tones in paints give the house a sophisticated look, while the cream, brown, and black colors give it an opulent vibe. Also, thanks to the high ceiling, black and white striped wallpapers, and big windows among others, there's a timeless touch as well. And the walls feature posters of classic Hollywood films such as Martin Scorsese's 'Goodfellas' and Al Pacino's 'Scarface'.
Not just these homes, Gauri Khan has designed several celebrity stores as well. Her own store in Mumbai, The Design Cell, and her studio, Gauri Khan Designs, obviously come atop the list. Besides, she has also designed Falguni and Shane Peacock’s Hyderabad Store and Manish Malhotra’s Home Design Studio among others.
