Her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor left Deepika wounded. In an interview with Verve in 2010, Deepika opened up and said, “I was foolish enough to give him a second chance because he begged and pleaded, despite the fact that everyone around me said he was still straying. Then I actually caught him red-handed. It took me a while to get out.” She also spoke about her breakup during an episode of Koffee With Karan. “It was very, very difficult for me because somewhere that relationship became my world," she told Karan Johar.
Ranbir Kapoor
Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor's break-up the talk of the town certainly. The couple broke up after dating for two years, and Ranbir took the blame for screwing things up. “Yes, I have cheated, out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness. You realise it now, when you grow up and you value it more, why be in a relationship, why be committed to someone when you cannot be committed? I’ve realised that now.”
Katrina Kaif
Post her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina had said, “Whether it was, how difficult it was, is honestly something that will stay with me. And only with me. You can never say about the future, but definitely not right now. Whatever it was, however it was, it will always stay with me.”

Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were together with each other for almost five years before they called it quits. Shahid, who is otherwise known to be a very private person, had said at the time, “Breaking up with Kareena was tough, it did hurt. But as an actor, I have never let anything come in the way of my work. I have always given my best. I will. I have said this right from the time ‘the breakup’ happened that if a good movie comes and the director tells me that no one else except Kareena will suit a certain role, then I have no right to say that I won’t do the film.”

Talking about the breakup, Kareena too had once told Anupama Chopra, “Of course, destiny had its own plan and life took its own course. Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma reportedly started dating after their debut film Band Baaja Baaraat. Despite the breakup, they starred together in Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do. At one time, Ranveer had said, “I have great affection for her brother and her parents and she will always be a special person to me. It was great to reunite with her. “We have grown out of the relationship and somewhere down the line, I'd point a finger at myself and say that I probably didn't match up to a lot of things. Shilpa Shetty, had several times, been candid about her relationship with Akshay Kumar. Speaking to a leading tabloid in 2000, the actress had said, “I never imagined that he could two-time me (with Twinkle Khanna) and that too all along our relationship. Akshay Kumar used me and conveniently dropped me after he found someone else. The only person I was upset with was him.”
