Consuming excess ashwagandha can cause digestive upset, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. Ashwagandha is also not suitable for pregnant women, people suffering from thyroid or autoimmune disorders. If you are consuming immunosuppressants, anticonvulsants or thyroid hormone drugs, avoid Ashwagandha extract.
