Asia Cup 2025: PAK to Meet India in Finale, Claims AI

If Bangladesh loses to PAK, India’s archrival in the west is likely to face the Men in Blue for a third and final clash in the Asia Cup 2025

Bangladesh and PAK are set to meet each other for their third Super Four stage match, with both teams eyeing to secure a place in the finale. With Sri Lanka having lost two games, they are out of the race, but both Bangladesh and PAK have an opportunity that they must steal from each other at the Dubai International Stadium.

Given that the result can go in both teams’ favour, it is impossible for us to predict the game’s outcome. Therefore, we asked two AI engines, ChatGPT and Perplexity AI, to predict the outcomes of the remaining Super Four stage matches.

BAN vs. PAK

ChatGPT

According to ChatGPT, PAK has a 65 per cent winning chance against Bangladesh due to their rhythm, which has seen them win against all teams except India. Not to forget, PAK’s bowling attack has been consistent in the UAE conditions.

For Bangladesh, the recent loss against India must’ve hit their morale, coupled with the injury scare of captain Litton Das.

ChatGPT predicts that PAK is likely to win against Bangladesh, projecting a comfortable margin of either 20-40 runs or five wickets.

Perplexity AI

Moving on to Perplexity, the AI said, “Pakistan is favoured to win this match given their recent victory over Sri Lanka, their higher net run rate, and overall stronger bowling attack. However, Bangladesh is capable of surprises, especially in spin-friendly conditions.”

For the record, the present run rate of PAK stands at 0.226, whereas Bangladesh’s run rate is -0.969. Although the difference in net run rate will not matter because both PAK and Bangladesh have two points each. Whichever team wins will have four points on the table and will stand second behind India.

India vs. Sri Lanka

ChatGPT

It is no surprise that ChatGPT predicted India as the winner against Sri Lanka, given that the team is undefeated in the tournament so far. Since the beginning, several players ranging from Abhishek Sharma to Kuldeep Yadav have risen to the occasion to turn the game in India’s favour. However, even ChatGPT emphasised the fact that India needs to do better in terms of fielding. The AI highlighted India’s dropped catches in the previous matches and pointed out that such dropped catches could significantly impact the game’s result.

Perplexity AI

Perplexity AI also weighed its prediction in India’s favour. For Sri Lanka, the AI said, “Sri Lanka’s Super Four campaign has faltered (back-to-back losses reported / elimination scenarios discussed), and they lost to PAK recently—momentum and confidence are not on their side for a quick turnaround. However, Sri Lanka could put up a fight if their top order fires.”

Whoever wins between PAK and Bangladesh will meet India on Sunday in the finale. Going by AI’s prediction, it seems a third and final clash between India and PAK is on the cards.
