Young, Rich & Unstoppable: Top 5 Youngest Billionaires in 2024 Hurun India Rich List

The 2024 Hurun India Rich list encompasses 1,539 individuals from 134 cities with a net worth of more than Rs 1,000 crore.

In 2024, India's billionaire count has reached 334, an increase by 29% than the last year. “These individuals are driving change across various industries, reflecting the growing impact of India’s youth in business,” the report said. 

“India is emerging as Asia’s wealth creation engine! While China saw a 25% decline in its number of billionaires, India experienced a 29% increase, reaching a record 334 billionaires,” said Anas Rahman Junaid, Founder and Chief Researcher, Hurun India. The most exciting observation? India added one new billionaire every five days in 2023. The 2024 Hurun India Rich List revealed remarkable achievements of India's GenZ entrepreneurs with 11 people born in the 90s. In this article, we will discuss about top five youngest billionaires of India.

Kaivalya Vohra & Aadit Palicha - Zepto:

The top two positions of Youngest Billionaire list are occupied by Zepto founders Kaivalya Vohra (21) and Aadit Palicha (22). Vohra dropped out of Stanford University’s prestigious computer science programme at the age of 18 only with an ambition of starting own company. He was not alone. He got the support from his friend Aadit Palicha, the cofounder of Kiranakart. It was intended to deliver groceries within 45 minutes. During pandemic, when e-commerce flourished, Kiranakart was launched. Kiranakart ultimately provided the groundwork for instant grocery delivery startup Zepto. The Mumbai-based online grocery delivery startup created history by becoming India's first unicorn of 2023. Currently, Kaivalya (21) and Palicha (22) have a net worth of ₹ 3,600 and ₹ 4,300 crores respectively.

Rohan Gupta & Family - SG Fineserve:

25-year-old Rohan Gupta secured the 3rd position in the list with an net worth of ₹ 1300 crores. SG Finserve was originally established with an NBFC license in 1994. In 2021, Mr. Rahul Gupta and Mr. Rohan Gupta acquired 56.25% stake and made it a success story.

Shashvat Nakrani - Bharatpe:

The 4th position in the list is occupied by 26-year-old Shashvat Nakrani with net worth of ₹ 1300 crores. The IIT-Delhi dropout Nakrani co-founded Bharatpe in 2018 which eventually revolutionized digital payment landscape in India.

Vaibhav Jain - PNC Infratech:

The Manipal Institute of Technology graduate, 28-year-old Vaibhav Jain is at 5th position in the list with net worth of ₹ 1300 crores.

Started in 1999, PNC Infratech Limited is one of the “front-ending infrastructure development, construction and management companies,” according to website.

Other Young Billionaires:

The richest in the list are Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar, founders of RazorPay. Mathur and Kumar are both aged 33 with net worth of ₹ 8700 crores. They are ranked 9th and 10th in the list.

OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal, 30, is holding the 6th position in the list.

Another famous name in the list includes Alakh Pandey, the Founder and CEO of PhysicsWallah. The 32-year old entrepreneur and founder of India's one of the biggest edtech platform, has a net worth of ₹ 4500 crores.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has topped in the Hurun India Rich List 2024 with a wealth of ₹11.6 lakh crore ahead of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani.
