India’s women’s cricket team enjoyed immense success in 2025 by lifting their maiden ODI World Cup trophy under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur. However, many may not be aware that this wasn’t Kaur’s first trophy in 2025. In the domestic circuit, she guided the Mumbai Indians to their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title—a tournament that saw several Indians take top spots across categories.
As the year comes to an end, here’s a recap of the Indian batters who lit up multiple categories in the WPL 2025.

Harmanpreet Kaur grabbed the sixth place in WPL 2025 with three 50s, but was not far behind the leader, Natalie Sciver-Brunt. Kaur would’ve finished third had she not taken 10 innings to score the three half-centuries.
Fastest fifty
Richa Ghosh secured third place in this category for hitting a 50 in 23 balls. She ended the innings with 64 runs off 27 deliveries.
Highest score
In terms of the highest individual score hit by an Indian player, Smriti Mandhana made 81 runs against the Delhi Capitals in 47 balls, securing the sixth spot in this category.
Hopefully, next season, some of the Indian players will grab a few spots across these categories, ending the dominance of foreign players.
