The 'Damini' actor is one of the first in B-town to take up bodybuilding seriously.
Look at Sunny Deol's filmography, and you'll realize that he has never adhered to conventions. Back in the 90s, when Hindi cinema was all about light-hearted romantic comedies, he carved out a separate niche for himself as an "action hero". With his rugged persona and powerful one-liners, not to mention his "dhaai kilo ka haat", he offered something different on the screen, emerging as a force to be reckoned with. And whatever he did on the screen - from standing up against the system to fighting hundreds of enemies with bare hands- resonated with the masses deeply, and how!
