Raghav Juyal’s Birthday: Beyond a Dancer, A True Multi-Hyphenate Artist - The Actor, The Host, And More

Wishing a very happy birthday to the artist who continues to excel as a dancer, host, and actor!

Today, we celebrate the multi-talented artist who has carved a niche across multiple domains — Raghav Juyal turns 34! Whether you admire his signature slow-motion dance style, recognize him as a beloved TV show host, or know him as the fierce lead in ‘Kill’, there’s no denying his versatility. Fondly called “Crockroaxz” in the industry, Raghav wears many hats — actor, dancer, choreographer, and television presenter. On his special day, let’s take a look at the many roles that make him the true multi-hyphenate he is.

Dancer and Choreographer

Raghav Juyal, famously known as the ‘King of Slow Motion,’ revolutionized the concept of the slow-motion walk in India. He first gained widespread attention when his audition video went viral on YouTube. In 2012, he appeared as a contestant on ‘Dance India Dance Season 3’, where he introduced a unique dance style. Although initially not selected, overwhelming public support prompted Grand Master Mithun Chakraborty to bend the show's rules and bring him back as a “trump card” in the wild-card round — marking the true beginning of his journey. Raghav went on to become the most popular contestant of the season, frequently topping weekly votes, and ultimately finishing as the second runner-up.

Following ‘DID’, he took on the role of skipper for ‘Raghav Ke Rockstars’ in ‘DID Li’l Masters’ and ‘Dance Ke Superkids’, where he led his team to victory under his leadership.

Host

Raghav Juyal is one of the most popular hosts in the entertainment industry today. Best known for his dynamic presence in dance reality shows, he became a household name through his hosting of the ‘Dance Plus’ series, leading Seasons 1 to 5 — sometimes solo, and at times alongside co-hosts. Beyond reality shows, he has also graced the stage of several award ceremonies, including the ‘Star Parivaar Awards’ and ‘Colors Golden Petal Awards’.

Raghav’s hosting style is celebrated for its high energy, spontaneous humor, and strong connection with both contestants and the audience. His natural charisma and ability to make everyone feel at ease have made him a favorite face for dance-based shows and live events alike.

Actor

Raghav Juyal is a trained actor who honed his craft under the mentorship of renowned actor and coach Saurabh Sachdeva. He made his acting debut in 2014 with the comedy-drama ‘Sonali Cable’, alongside Rhea Chakraborty and Ali Fazal. His lively performance and strong screen presence earned him praise from critics. In 2015, he appeared in the dance film ‘ABCD 2’, directed by Remo D’Souza, sharing screen space with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.

Raghav continued to explore diverse roles, appearing in the romantic comedy ‘Nawabzaade’ with Dharmesh Yelande, Punit Pathak, and Isha Rikhi, followed by the dance film ‘Street Dancer 3D’, the dark crime thriller series ‘Abhay’, and the comedy thriller ‘Bahut Hua Samman’, among others.

However, it was his performance in the 2024 action-thriller ‘Kill’ that truly cemented his position as a powerful actor. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and inspired by a real-life train robbery Bhat witnessed in 1995, ‘Kill’ premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023 and was named first runner-up for the People’s Choice Award in the Midnight Madness category. Raghav's intense portrayal of a negative character earned him the Best Performance in a Negative Role at the 25th IIFA Awards, marking a major milestone in his acting journey.

Music Video and Reality Show Contestant

Along with participating in a dance reality show, Juyal was also seen as a contestant in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ Season 7 in 2016, where he revealed his fearless side to the audience. In 2020, he also featured in the music video ‘Hum Tum’, sung by Sukriti Kakar and Prakriti Kakar.

From redefining dance to winning hearts on screen and stage, Raghav Juyal continues to inspire with his talent and creativity. As he turns 34, we celebrate not just a performer, but a true force of artistic versatility.
