Finding an array of vegetable dishes skewed, grilled, or roasted in tandoor is quite a challenging task. However, such dishes are not rare, given that around 1.5 billion people on Earth are vegetarians, according to statistics by the World Animal Foundation. Therefore, to cater to vegetarians with vegetables on sticks, served with dips, we have carefully curated a number of skewed veggie recipes.
Grilled Sweet Potato Skewers
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
Sweet potatoes
Olive oil
Salt
Paprika
Pepper
Bamboo skewer
Barbecue sauce
Recipe
Start by peeling the sweet potatoes.
Put them in a microwave bowl and wrap them in plastic. Microwave for three minutes.
Remove the plastic and again microwave them for 2-3 minutes.
Once tender, put them on skewers.
Drizzle a little bit of olive oil and rub salt, paprika, and pepper.
On a grill (gas or charcoal), put the skewers and grill for 20 minutes while flipping every side for 5-6 minutes.
Finish by drizzling the barbecue sauce, or you can use the sauce for a dip.

Grilled Cauliflower Skewers
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
Cauliflower florets
Olive oil
Salt
Black pepper
Parmesan
Lemon juice
Parsley
Recipe
Start by putting the florets onto the skewers.
Season it well with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.
Preheat a gas grill at 230 degrees Celsius.
Put the cauliflower on the grill and flip for 6 to 7 minutes.
Finish by grating parmesan and parsley.
Serve with a dip of jalapeño-flavoured liquid cheese.

Grilled Veggie Skewers
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
Pineapple, cut into chunks
Zucchinis
Yellow squash
Mushrooms
Onion
Cherry tomatoes
Red bell pepper
Bamboo skewers
Olive
Dried basil
Dried oregano
Salt
Ground black pepper
Recipe
Cut all the vegetables in such a way, preferably into cubes, so that they can be put onto the skewer.
In a bowl, create a mixture of olive oil, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture on all sides of the vegetables.
On a preheated grill, cook the vegetables for 10 to 15 minutes.
Enjoy with any dip of your liking.

Ingredients
Unsalted butter
Garlic minced
Soy sauce
Cremini mushrooms
Fresh thyme leaves
Kosher salt
Cooking time
Start by melting butter in a saucepan.
Add minced garlic and sauté for two minutes.
Add a little bit of soy sauce.
Toss the mushrooms and cover them well with the sauce.
Put them onto skewers and grill for 15-20 minutes.
Finish by sprinkling salt and fresh thyme leaves on the mushrooms.

Grilled Maple Carrot
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
Carrots
Maple syrup
Brown sugar
Salt
Black pepper
Recipe
Start by cutting the carrots into cubes.
Next, boil the carrots for 15-20 minutes on medium flame.
In a separate pan, add maple syrup, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer on low flame until the sauce thickens.
Once done, brush this sauce on the carrots and coat them from all sides.
Put the carrots on the skewers and grill for 5-10 minutes.
Serve with any dip of your liking.
