Clint Eastwood Before hitting the jackpot with roles in hits like Gran Torino and Million Dollar Baby, Eastwood had to work in numerous uncredited roles, starting with a role in 1955’s Revenge of the Creature. In the 1980’s Andrew McCarthy was at the peak of his career only to see Brad rise to stardom later on. Matt Damon Matt appeared as an extra in the 1988 Julia Robert starrer Mystic Pizza. He was only 18-year-old then. Later, he also appeared in Field of Dreams as a fan in Fenway Park. Hard work and persistence paid well later on for Matt, who ended up with much-appreciated roles in movies like Good Will Hunting, The Departed and many more. Renee Zellweger She was an extra and played like one of the girls in the 1993 beloved classic, Dazed and Confused. You would not have noticed the ‘Girl in the blue pick-up truck’ back then, but Renee went on to become one of the esteemed Oscar-winning stars. Sylvester Stallone We all know this handsome hunk for his role in the movie series Rambo. But you would not have noticed him playing an extra in Woody Allen’s Bananas in 1971. He was a subway mugger in this Allen movie. He also played as an extra in 1971 Jane Fonda’s Klute, a psychological thriller. Marilyn Monroe The famous Marilyn Monroe is many a time mentioned as an extra in her debut screen appearance, 1948’s ScuddaHoo! Scudda Hay! she only had one-liner, ‘Hi Rad’, and briefly appeared sitting with another actress in a canoe.
