A superstar of the Malayalam film industry, Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail, fondly known as Mammootty, turns 75 on September 7. Once limited to a Southern Indian audience, Mammootty now enjoys a new fan following, thanks to OTT platforms that have made him accessible to a pan-Indian audience. What follows is a series of twists and turns, but Mammootty ultimately discovers the truth about his wife and avenges her demise. A film so brilliant that it was used to study sound design by the University of Creative Arts in the United Kingdom. Released in 2024, Bramayugam follows a black-and-white format with a gripping horror tale that incorporates folklore from Kerala.
