In Freddy, Aaryan ditched his usual boy next door avatar and showcased how dark characters should be done on screen
In the world of Bollywood, finding a place is a challenging task, and becoming a star is even more so. Nearly impossible, especially if you are not from a Bolly family. However, in recent years, few actors have managed to secure a share of the pie, and our birthday boy, Kartik Aaryan, is one of them.
Turning 35 this November, Aaryan enjoys a huge fan following among females. However, his choice of films has been criticised on several occasions due to the fact that he has done several films that were sequels. The criticism has been taken to the point where words targeted his choice of scripts and completely ignored his acting prowess.
Therefore, on his birthday, we take a look at Aaryan’s films that weren’t sequels, and he blew everyone’s mind with his acting and dedication, which, unfortunately, people do not remember.
Chandu Champion
Chandu Champion failed to earn big at the Box Office, but there’s no doubt that it was Aaryan’s best performance in terms of acting. Whether dedicating hours to perfecting an athlete’s physique or crafting action scenes and numerous emotional dialogues, Aaryan hit the right notes, presenting the life of Murlikant Petkar, India's first-ever Paralympic gold medallist, to the world.
Satyaprem ki Katha
Aaryan isn’t all about monologues; he knows a thing or two about the romantic genre of films, because of which Satyaprem ki Katha became one of the crucial films in his filmography. The film not only explored romance but also addressed societal issues and the delicate nature of relationships that either fail or stand the test of time. In terms of Box Office success, the film was average, but it proved that Aaryan is well-suited for films that convey social messages.
Luka Chuppi

In another movie that addressed a social issue in India, namely live-in relationships, which are still considered taboo in many regions, the duo of Aaryan and Kriti Sanon hit the ball out of the park with their jolly and bubbly chemistry. From the comic dialogue delivery on time to the blossoming romance between the duo, Aaryan proved that if needed, he can go a long way in the genre of romantic films.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety

Kartik Aaryan rose to fame with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety – three films that dealt with problems and exploitations several men endure at the hands of women in modern-day relationships but aren’t discussed seriously because men are at the receiving end. Out of the three films, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety was Aaryan’s first film that crossed the 100-crore barrier, proving that he can enter the three-digit crore zone if he is offered scripts with depth.
As Aaryan turns 35, we hope more original scripts come his way and he achieves immense success, becoming a leading man among the present crop of young actors.
