Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's son Anant Ambani is all set to get married to Radhika Merchant on July 12 in Mumbai.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding extravaganza, which has been grabbing all the attention, is almost close to end as the couple is all set to tie the knot on July 12 in Mumbai. The Ambanis had earlier hosted pre-wedding festivities in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, and followed it up with a lavish cruise bash in Portofino in Italy. Clearly, for the wedding of the son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, there’s no stone being left unturned. As expected, the grand celebrations have seen the presence of the A-listers from different fraternities, be it business or entertainment.

Now ahead of the couple’s much-anticipated wedding in Mumbai, the Ambanis have reportedly hired three Falcon-2000 jets to ferry guests to the wedding ceremony. Reuters news agency quoted Rajan Mehra, CEO of air charter company Club One Air, as saying that the Ambanis have rented three of their Falcon-2000 jets so that their guests can be easily transported. Not just that, Mehra expects over 100 private planes to be used during the wedding functions. “The guests are coming from all over and each aircraft will make multiple trips across the country,” Mehra informed Reuters.

Ambani pre-wedding celebrations

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will take the plunge finally on Friday, July 12. In March, the couple hosted a star-studded pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and the highlight of the event was global pop icon Rihanna’s performance. During the celebrations, the Ambanis also launched Vantara, a wildlife animal rescue, cave conservation and rehabilitation centre.

In May, the Ambanis hosted another extravagant pre-wedding event on a cruise ship, with stops in Rome, Cannes and Portofino. The event was attended by the who’s who of the entertainment world including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Janhavi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, among others.

Ahead of their wedding celebrations in Mumbai, the Ambanis hosted a Sangeet ceremony for the couple, and singer Justin Bieber performed at it. Reportedly, the ‘Baby’ artist took home a whopping $10 million paycheck for the billionaire's son's pre-wedding.

Meanwhile, last week, Mumbai Traffic Police had shared a traffic advisory warning commuters of possible disruptions in the city due to the Anant-Radhika wedding festivities. “Due to a public event at the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex on July 5th and from July 12th to 15th, 2024, the following traffic arrangements will be in place for the smooth flow of traffic,” Mumbai Traffic Police shared on X.

However, Mumbaikars were not too happy with the message, and it sparked outrage against Mumbai Police for calling the Ambani festivities as a “public” event.
