The grandeur of any well-appointed, elegantly designed accommodation deserve appreciation. To acknowledge these luxurious properties, the esteemed list of World's 50 Best Hotels is released for 2024. More than 500 international travel experts from the World’s Best 50 Hotels Academy prepared the list, which was unveiled in London’s prestigious Guildhall. Industry-defining hotels from 37 locations worldwide have featured in the list. Chablé Yucatán claimed the 16th position, which is also the topmost spot for any North American property in the list. The advanced wellness-first escape at the heart of the Yucatán jungle was established in 2016.
The ‘new entry’ in the list, Maroma pays tribute to Mexican artisanal crafts and culture and bagged 18th position. After an extensive renovation works, the hotel was reopened in 2023.

This has been the preferred destination for exemplary hospitality of global tourists on the Caribbean island of St. Barths since 1950s. However, Hurricane Irma forced its closure for 5 years before reopening in 2022. The Eden Rock claimed the 36th spot.

Above all, this award don't follow the “pay to play” rule which means, the properties do not have to pay anything to participate in the nomination process. In the first edition of the list, launched in 2023, Passalacqua in Italy bagged the number one spot.
