Dhanush's 50th film has managed to cross the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office, and is going strong.
Dhanush's Tamil film Raayan has been raking in moolah at the box office, and has crossed Rs 50 crore nett in India in five days. The film, which was released on July 26, features Dhanush in lead role and is also directed by the actor.
Owing to the response by the audience and the critics, Dhanush also thanked fans, and called it the best birthday gift ever as he turned 41 on July 28. As for the film, it also stars SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, and Aparna Balamurali, alongside the National Award winning-actor. The film’s supporting cast members include Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Saravanan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, and Dushara Vijayan.
Moving ahead, Dhanush has Arun Matheswaran's Ilaiyaraaja in the pipeline, and the film is based on the life of the titular legendary music composer.
