Kane joined the German giant in 2023, but within one season, he has broken numerous records
July 28 marks the birthday of one of the finest strikers England has produced—Harry Kane. Despite being a highly talented athlete, the player’s career has been devoid of titles, courtesy of his poor career choices, which saw him spending years at Tottenham—an English club that is famous for bottling chances and winning nothing. Not to forget, Harry Kane has often been called a jinx because after joining Bayern Munich, the German giant failed poorly in every competition, not winning a single title in the 2023/2024 season.
Nonetheless, the birthday in his first season at Munchen managed to break a number of records. On his special, let us take a look at those records.
Harry Kane became the fastest player to score 20 goals in the Bundesliga. He needed only 15 games to reach the tally of 20. Earlier, the record was held by Uwe Seeler, who scored 20 goals in 21 games in the 1963/64 season.
Kane also became the Bundesliga’s top-scoring English scorer in his first season in Germany. The record was held by Jadon Sancho and Kevin Keegan, both of whom scored 17 goals in 2019/20 and 1978/79, respectively. Kane required only 12 matches to surpass the mark of 17. He scored 32 goals for Bayern in the league in his first season.

Kane scored the most goals in the first ten games of the Bundesliga. In his first ten games, he scored 15 goals. This record was registered in the name of Klaus Matischak, who scored 13 goals in his first ten Bundesliga games.
Kane also became the fastest player in the tournament to score 30 goals. It took him 25 matches to score 30 goals, whereas earlier, the record was held by Erling Haaland, who took 32 games to score 30 goals.
Last year, Kane also scored two goals in nine games, toppling the records of Friedhelm Konietzka (1963-64) and Toni Polster (1993-94). The two players were the only in the Bundesliga to score braces on their debut season within ten games.
Kane also recorded the best tally in the first five games of the Bundesliga. In his first five games, Kane scored seven goals. Other famous names such as Mario Mandzukic, Miroslav Klose, and Gerd Muller had scored only five goals in their first five Bundesliga games.

Unfortunately, Kane failed to surpass the biggest Bundesliga record of 41 goals scored by Robert Lewandowski in 2020-2021. In 36 games, Kane scored 32 games, whereas overall for Bayern in the 2023/2024 season, he scored 45 goals in 44 games.
On his birthday, we firmly hope that 2024/2025 will finally be the season when Harry Kane gets to touch silverware.
