Janhvi Kapoor’s 4 Best Ethnic Looks That Live Up to the ‘Param Sundari’ Hype Ahead Of Film’s Release

As Param Sundari draws closer to release, we cannot get over Janhvi Kapoor’s South Indian ethnic wardrobe.

Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen onscreen in Param Sundari, and the comedy film is directed by Tushar Jalota and backed by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. For the first time, she is all set to pair up with Sidharth Malhotra, and fans are looking forward to seeing their onscreen chemistry.

Interestingly, ahead of the highly anticipated release on July 25, the actress has been wooing fans with a series of stunning ethnic looks, which live up to the film’s  title — “Param Sundari”. Here are her top five breathtaking South Indian ensembles that have got her fans asking for more:

Kerala Kasavu Saree

Janhvi was recently spotted in a Kerala Kasavu Saree (off-white saree), which had golden zari work at the edges. She got the saree draped in a South Indian style, and paired it up with a matching blouse with golden beads along the borders. She completed the look with  traditional gold jewelry, including jhumka, nath, waist chain, and bangles, and added flowers to her hair. She looked like a true-blood South Indian beauty.

Red-Purple Pattu pavadai

The other South Indian look of Janhvi that got all the attention was her purple long skirt with golden work all over it, which she paired up with a simple red blouse. Her look was completed with a red dupatta draped around her body like a saree, and golden earrings. She yet again opted for a half hairstyle with flowers pinned in it.

Sequin blue pattu pavadai

The gorgeous actress was seen wearing a light blue sequin lehenga, which she paired with a short-sleeved blouse designed with intricate dark blue borders. Her look had dark blue sequin all over it, and the choker neckpiece and the jhumka amped it up. Janhvi also braided her hair and wore a gajra.

Pink and peach pattu pavadai

The Dhadak actress was seen wearing a heavily embroidered peach lehenga, which she styled with a pink blouse featuring intricate detailing at the borders. For the drape, she picked up a beautifully matching dupatta and styled like a saree. Completing the look, Janvhi opted for an emerald and silver choker with matching waist chain and earrings. She stuck to her perfect South Indian look with her half-tied hairstyle with flowers.

Nonetheless, each of these ensembles honour traditional Indian craftsmanship, and be it her open waves, dewy makeup, or understated jewellery, Janhvi had made sure to keep the attention on the garments. Her choice of colour palette also tells a story —of festivals, temples, romance, or regional pride.

As Param Sundari, a cross-cultural love story shot in scenic Kerala, draws closer to release, her South Indian ethnic wardrobe shows how she is not just playing the part but has embodied it as well.
