Iconic Peaky Blinders Characters That Deserve Their Own Movie

Peaky Blinders is a show that has really changed thee lives of people working in it and the people who watched it. It is one of the most loved shows in the world and due to its strong narrative, it has influenced a large part of the audience.

Peaky Blinders has a huge fan following. The lead Tommy Shelby played by Cillian Murphy is amazing but so are the other characters who have their own fan culture. Some of them are so good they deserve their own movie!

Arthur Shelby

Arthur Shelby is a complex character whose story is ripe for exploration in a standalone film. Throughout the series, Arthur is portrayed as the family's enforcer who at times resort to other means to protect his kin and assert the Peaky Blinders' dominance. However, beneath his tough exterior lies a man struggling with his inner self, guilt, and of memories war. They can definitely make a movie focusing on Arthur, his relationships with his family, and his attempts to find redemption.

Polly Gray

Polly Gray is another character who deserves her own film. As the aunt and advisor to the Shelby brothers, this matriarch has made people happy. They can make a prequel with her including her role in raising the Shelby brothers after their parents' demise and her own struggles as a woman in a male-dominated world. We think that Polly’s strength, intelligence, and kindness make her a character worthy of a deeper exploration, what about you?

Alfie Solomons

When there is Tom Hardy in it, you should watch it. Tom Hardy’s portrayal of Alfie Solomons is loved by all of us. The film could explore Alfie’s rise to power, his complex relationship with Tommy Shelby, and his methods of maintaining control in a volatile environment. Given Alfie’s ambiguous morality and unpredictable nature, a film about him would be filled with tension, humour, and unexpected twists.

Grace Burgess

Who does not love Grace Burgess, it is an iconic character. Tommy Shelby’s love interest and former undercover agent, is another character whose backstory could be explored. The film could also explore her internal conflict as she falls in love with Tommy while trying to reconcile her duty as an agent with her feelings for him.

Michael Gray

There are a few characters who are more than just a hero. Such is Michael Gray, a character whose evolution throughout the series has been significant. Starting as an outsider who joins the family business, Michael’s journey from a naive young man to a calculating and ambitious figure is one of the more intriguing arcs in the show.

What if they make a movie about Michael which could be about his early life before he was reunited with the Shelby family? We are sure that his transformation as he becomes more involved in the activities will make people fall for it. More than anything, his desire to carve out his own path make him a character with plenty of potential for a standalone film.

It is very evident that Peaky Blinders has introduced audiences to amazingly written characters and each of them has their own unique story. While Tommy Shelby has been the central figure of the series, these roles are equally loved.
