Tabu is happily single and has time and again spoken about her relationship status in the media. Back in 2017, while promoting her film 'Golmaal Again', which also stars Ajay Devgn, the actress said on a lighter note that she is single because of Ajay Devgn.
In her words, "Ajay and I have known each other for 25 years. He was my cousin Sameer Arya's neighbor and close buddy, a part of my growing-up years and that has laid the foundation of our relationship. When I was young, Sameer and Ajay would spy on me, follow me around, and threaten to beat up any boys who were caught talking to me. They were the big bullies and if I am single today, it is because of Ajay. I hope he repents and regrets what he did."
Notably, in one of her later interviews, Tabu spoke about her decision to stay single. She said, "A man-woman relationship is a complicated thing. When we are young, we have an idea of love. Then we grow, have new experiences, get independent, and outgrow some things. I was working and wanted to see the world on my own. If I’d have given it all up, it’d have been a disservice to me and my ability.''

"An ideal relationship is when both individuals grow just by being in each other’s lives. Relationships are meant to liberate, not stifle. I know my thinking is a bit different. Speaking about her friendship with the 'Singham' actor, Tabu once shared, "If there is anyone I can count on, it's Ajay. He is like a child and yet so protective. The atmosphere on set when he is around is stress-free. We share a unique relationship and an unconditional affection."

Our equation is one of friendship, along with cursing each other out. There's a certain comfort zone. I think that equation has never changed. It has remained the same over the years."
