Happy Birthday, Nora Fatehi: From Rayvanny To CKay - Her Iconic Collabs With Global Artists

In October 2022, Nora Fatehi was chosen to feature in "Light The Sky", a song for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

“Dance not only shaped my existence but bridged a connection worldwide too.” – Nora Fatehi.

Coming from Toronto (Canada), Nora Fatehi has successfully made a mark in Indian cinema as a dancer. However, it was clear in her mind from the very beginning that she wouldn't limit herself to any particular region. And that's exactly why she has time and again sought opportunities to collaborate with international artists and connect with audiences worldwide.

One of the most celebrated dancers in Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, Nora Fatehi turns one year older (read wiser) today. On this occasion, let's revisit some of her iconic collaborations (dance/music) with global artists.

Nora & Fnaire

Back in 2018, Nora Fatehi's number "Dilbar" (‘Satyameva Jayate’) became a massive hit, achieving 20 million views on YouTube within 24 hours of its release. It (particularly her performance) was loved in the Middle East as well, and hence Nora decided to release an Arabic version of the song. Thus, she not only made her debut as a singer but also collaborated with the Arabic group Fnaïre for the same.

Fnaire is a hip-hop and rock band based in Arabs but is extremely popular across the Middle East, Africa, and North America.

Speaking about the venture, Nora shared in an interview, "I really wanted to take Dilbar to Africa and the Middle East in Arabic because it was also a perfect way to launch myself. As Dilbar has become a huge hit internationally, Middle East included, we have taken the song, recomposed it, written Arabic and Moroccan lyrics and we recorded me singing with the band, Fnaire.”

Nora Fatehi collaborated with Rayvanny in 2019 to release her first international English debut song "Pepeta". The song is a medley of various genres and is a tribute to the international pop icon Ariana Grande.
