There have been several Bollywood films over the years that have either featured a song on the Ganesha Chaturthi festivities.

It would not be wrong to say that Indian films are not just our primary source of entertainment, but they are also a mirror to the society, including the culture and traditions. Be it Holi, Diwali or any other festival, the emotions and celebrations are shown beautifully in Bollywood films. With the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi around the corner, Bollywood has made sure to always add to the spirit by featuring tracks and storylines around it. In fact, there’s a long list of films with either songs on the Ganesha Chaturthi celebration or an important scene around it. And who does not love seeing the days of Lord Ganesha by welcoming him?

DEVA SHRI GANESHA – AGNEEPATH ( 2012)

The much-loved song is from the 2012 release Agneepath. The high octane number is crooned by Ajay Gigavle who is part of the music director duo behind the composition. Deva Shri Ganesha is composed by Ajay- Atul has been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It features Hritik Roshan, and is widely played across Ganesh pandals in the country during the festivities.

SINDOOR LAL CHADAYO- VAASTAV (1999)

Sindoor Lal Chadayo features in the Sanjay Dutt starrer Vaastav, and is one of the most-famous songs around Ganesh Chaturthi celebration in Bollywood. The number is also played as an aarti song of Lord Ganesha, and beautifully captures the essence of the festival. Sung by Ravindra Sathe, it stars Dutt along with the other cast of Vaastav.

MOURYA RE- DON (2006)

The song from the 2006 release Don features Shah Rukh Khan and highlights the emotions of Ganpati Visarjan. It has been sung by Shankar Mahadevan.

SADDA DIL VI TU – ABCD (2013)

The track from Remo D’Souza dance drama film ABCD: Anybody Can Dance is a beautiful blend of Indian classical music and western dance. The foot-tapping song has been composed by the music director duo Sachin – Jigar.

DEVA HO DEVA- HUMSE BADHKAR KAUN (1981)

Deva Ho Deva features in the 1981 release Humse Badhkar Kaun and has been part of the Ganpati celebration across the country for years. Sung by a great team of singers that include Asha Bhosle, Mohammed Rafi, Bhupinder Singh, Shailendra Singh and Sapna Chakraborty, it is one of the most revered tracks on Lord Ganpati.
