From Cars to Choppers, Swanky Set of Wheels Used in Bade Miyam Chote Miyan

Like every other action movie these days, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has used some high-end vehicles to shoot chase sequences

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, despite having the same-old jingoistic action plot, has done well in terms of numbers. Earning INR 31 on day three, as per Sacnilk.com, the movie has performed better than Maidaan, which was also released alongside Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and has a better plot, recalling the golden days of Indian football. Nonetheless, in this article, we are not here to review the movie.

Instead, we are here to talk about some swanky set of wheels that have been used in the movie to put together the action and high chase sequences. In the following paragraphs, let us a take a look some of the rides used in Bade Miya Chote Miya.

Ducati Hypermotard

In one of the chase scenes, both actors are caught riding the famous Ducati Hypermotard. Powered by a 937cc, Testastretta 11°, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valves per cylinder, Desmodromic, liquid-cooled engine, the motorcycle makes a peak power of 114.2PS at 9,000rpm and a maximum torque of 96Nm at 7,250rpm. The motorcycle has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres and is worth INR 17 lakh, ex-showroom in India. The Hypermotard is a supermoto model which focuses on both daily commuting and soft-roading. For those into stunt riding, the Hypermotard is a good option.

BMW F850 GS

Another motorcycle that caught our eye is the BMW F850 GS. Available in India at INR 13 lakh, ex-showroom; the F850 GS is one the most capable adventurer tourer motorcycle one can purchase in India in the 800-900cc segment. The motorcycle’s heart of the matter is an 853cc, water-cooled 4-stroke in-line two-cylinder engine, four valves per cylinder engine that makes a peak power of 95.17PS at 8,250rpm and a maximum torque of 92Nm at 6,250rpm. Unfortunately, the 15-litre fuel tank is a little low, given the motorcycle is meant for long-distance hauls.

Mini Cooper

While a number of BMW and Mercedes SUVs were featured in the film, including the legendary G-Wagon, we loved how a Mini Cooper was given additional screen time. As of now, in India, the Mini Cooper is available in two variants – S and Steptronic Sport with ex-showroom prices ranging between INR 41 lakh and 43 lakh, ex-showroom. The Mini Cooper is powered by 1998cc, 4 cylinders in-line, 4 valves/cylinder, SOHC engine which churns out a peak power of 129hp at 4,750rpm and a maximum torque of 280Nm at 1,350rpm. In India, the Cooper is one of the most expensive hatchbacks one can purchase.

Chinook

Moving on to the big boys, a Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter, often used for transporting soldiers by defence forces of several countries, was given enough screen time to woo us. Introduced in 1962, the Indian defence forces have 15 Ch-47F(I), and in 2022, one of the Chinooks created history when it successfully completed a non-stop sortie of 1,910 kilometres in seven hours and 30 minutes from Jorhat in Assam to Chandigarh. Two Honeywell T55-GA-714A engines power the legendary Chinook and have a top speed of 301 kilometres per hour with a service ceiling of 20,000 feet.

Besides the Chinook, several other army vehicles, such as the Black Hawk, C-235 aircraft and Humvees, were also used.

The movie may not meet the expectations of hardcore cinephile, but if you are an automobile enthusiast, a one-time watch is worth the 164-minute screen time.
