Travis Head's maiden T20 century

102 (41) vs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, April 15

Travis Head delivered one of the most destructive knocks of IPL 2024. His maiden T20 century, a blistering 102 off just 41 balls, left RCB in shambles. Head smashed 9 fours and eight sixes to propel Sunrisers Hyderabad to a colossal 287/3, the highest total in IPL history. The Australian was ruthless against RCB's pacers, especially Reece Topley and Lockie Ferguson. Head reached his hundred in just 39 balls, the fifth-fastest in IPL history. His innings set the tone for an unforgettable match and proved why he's a key asset for SRH.

Vintage Kohli at his best

113 not out (72) vs. Rajasthan Royals, April 6

Virat Kohli showcased his class yet again with his eighth IPL century. Batting first, RCB posted 183/3, thanks to Kohli's steady 113 off 72 balls. Though not his fastest, the innings was vintage Kohli—filled with cover drives and pull shots. Kohli overcame a slow start on a tacky pitch, reaching his century in 67 balls, the joint-slowest in IPL history. His knock featured 12 fours and 4 sixes, reminding fans why he remains one of the best in the game.

Jake Fraser-McGurk's powerplay carnage

84 (27) vs. Mumbai Indians, April 27

Jake Fraser-McGurk announced himself as a future star with a jaw-dropping 84 off just 27 balls. The Delhi Capitals opener tore into MI's bowling attack, smashing 11 fours and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 311. Fraser-McGurk's 15-ball fifty was the fastest for DC and helped the team achieve their highest Powerplay score of 92/0. Though his innings ended in the 8th over, the young Australian had already done enough damage to secure a massive total for Delhi.

Travis Head's explosive fifty

62 (24) vs. Mumbai Indians, March 27

Travis Head's blitz against MI was a spectacle. He smashed 62 off just 24 balls, including 9 fours and three sixes, to set the stage for another SRH batting record. Head's 18-ball fifty broke David Warner's record for the fastest by an SRH batter, only to be surpassed by teammate Abhishek Sharma later in the innings. Dropped early, Head made MI pay heavily, taking the team to 81/1 in the Powerplay. Though his innings ended in the 7th over, his impact was game-changing.

Heinrich Klaasen’s late fireworks
